The westside Los Angeles neighborhood of Venice rests along the coastline of the Pacific Ocean. The eccentric beachside district has developed a recreational space that includes Muscle Beach, an outdoor bodybuilding facility. Venice is also a haven for premier basketball talent and was the feature location in the movie White Men Can’t Jump. Like its Italian namesake, Venice of America is lined with canals, which were dug to drain the marshes upon which the residential area was built upon.
