WriteBot Review: Can This AI Tool Transform Content Creation?

Boost creativity and productivity with the help of AI.

Jun 26

As a family travel blogger, I’m always on the lookout for tools that can make my life easier. Between my 9-to-5 and home obligations (and, you know, sleeping and eating), I don't always have the time to dedicate to my side hustle. So, I figured it wouldn't hurt to try an AI tool devoted to the writing process. I decided to test out the WriteBot tool to see what it does, how it works, and if it can help me streamline my creative process. Here's my WriteBot review.

Getting Started with WriteBot

WriteBot uses machine learning algorithms to generate content that mimics human writing. It also allows you to develop ideas that can spark inspiration to help you get going faster.

Once you sign up, you'll have a dashboard as your home base. Here, you'll find a sidebar with all types of writing options. They are in a dropdown format under Choose Use Case. For example, you can select Video Idea under Use Case, which I did and then included the keywords family, Disney, and budget, which was a pretty simple way to get some keyword-focused content written.

Depending on which use case you pick, there might be other prompts to fill in. For instance, the Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn Ads use case gives you a product name prompt.

There are other ways to drive what kind of content the WriteBot tool generates for you. Under the Use Case section, you can choose the number of variants you'd like (one, two, or three) at once, which is pretty helpful and could potentially save you the step of having to go back and ask for other options.

You can also choose the level of creativity you'd like your chosen writing type to have, which is cool, but it looks like the more creativity, the less factual the content might be. I did notice some factual errors, so if you rely on accuracy and up-to-date information in your writing, be on the lookout for this typical AI-powered apps issue and make sure you run a fact-check yourself.

The larger space on the right of the sidebar shows all of your generated content. You can also go back and view any previous "documents" you generated in this space, which is a pretty user-friendly feature.

Overall, the simple, clean interface makes it a less daunting platform to work on than I initially thought, and the minimal writing style option reins in my sometimes-chaotic mind. I can totally see how this tool could help with productivity and elevate efficiency.

Useful for Various Types of Writing

There are 12 different use cases to choose from on Write Bot. As a blogger and vlogger, I mostly use the use case options Blog Idea & Outline, Blog Section Writing, Video Idea, and Video Description.

Some other handy options:

  • Marketers and small business owners might find the Google Search Ads and Post and Caption Ideas options helpful
  • Maybe you have an Etsy shop or are an artist and need to write product copy to sell your items or artwork. In that case, the Product Description option could come in handy.
  • Those interested in an SEO angle can get some guidance from the SEO Meta Description and SEO Meta Title selections
  • There's also a Cover Letter option for anyone who needs to quickly tailor their pitch to specific jobs

Besides being an easy-to-use go-to tool when you're stuck without an idea or when writer's block strikes—which it inevitably will—I really like that there are integrated style and formatting tools. The toolbar allows you to italicize, bold, and underline text. It also includes a way to link out to websites or other content.

This tool can definitely help expedite the content creation process for a lot of different writers with specific needs. Though, like with almost all AI-powered content-generating tools, you should be prepared to do some editing and quality assurance. Play around with the creativity level option to get a full understanding of what each offers your writing for what'll work best for your needs.

Since a lifetime Pro subscription to Write Bot is on sale for $40 (reg. $539), it's an affordable investment in a writing tool that could save any professional or budding writer time and frustration for years and years to come.
